What to expect: 2-hour windows, text updates, parking on your street

Updated Sep 6, 2026

Your appointment window

When you book with us, you get a 2-hour arrival window rather than a vague "sometime today." This gives you a realistic block of time to plan around instead of waiting all day for a knock at the door.

Text updates as we get close

You will get a text update as your technician is on the way, so you have a heads-up rather than a surprise. If something changes, an emergency ahead of you runs longer than expected, for example, we will text you an updated window rather than leave you guessing.

Parking and access on Westside streets

Santa Monica and Westside street parking can be tight, especially with posted street-cleaning days and permit zones. A few things help our technician arrive and get started quickly:

  • Let us know if there is a specific spot, driveway, or guest permit we should use.
  • Mention any gate codes, building entry instructions, or unit numbers ahead of time.
  • If you live in a condo or apartment building, check whether the building requires advance notice for vendors or service elevators.

Being home for the appointment

Someone who can make decisions about the repair, meaning someone who can approve a written quote, should be present for the visit. If that is not possible, let us know ahead of time who we should call, and be aware that we cannot start paid repair work without approval from someone authorized to give it.

What happens on arrival

Your technician introduces themselves, listens to what you have noticed, and performs the diagnostic. You get a written price before any repair work starts. If you approve, we get to work; if not, only the trip and diagnostic fee applies for that visit.

Rescheduling

If your plans change, call dispatch as early as you can so we can offer your window to another customer and find you a new one. For a true emergency, call us any time and we will fit you in as quickly as our on-call schedule allows, day or night.

After the visit

Once the work is complete, you get a written invoice covering everything discussed on-site: the diagnostic fee if it applied, the labor charge, and any parts used, along with a note of the 2-year labor warranty that applies to the repair. Keep this invoice; it is what you would reference if you ever need to call about a warranty repair down the road, and it is useful documentation if you ever need it for an insurance question as well.
